At any time of the day or night you can bring a newborn - up to 72 hours old - to any of the local hospitals or clinics listed below or to Casa de los Niños. There will be a professional on duty to receive it from you. They will take care of the baby. You will be safe and can remain anonymous.

* Arizona Children's Home Association.
Offers free counseling for teen-age parents on adoption, parenting, coping skills and child abuse prevention. 622- 7611.

* Baby Arizona.
Pregnant women who can't afford prenatal care can call a toll-free number and be referred to doctors who participate in AHCCCS, the state's health plan for indigents. Then a streamlined enrollment process can sign them up immediately with the health plan. 1-800-833-4642.

* Catholic Social Services.
Provides pregnancy and adoption counseling as well as living quarters for expectant mothers. Sliding-scale fee for services. 623- 0344 or 1-800-234-0344.

* Crisis Pregnancy Centers of Tucson.
An anti-abortion organization that offers free services, including counseling, pregnancy testing, adoption referrals, baby clothes and live-in accommodations for expectant parents. Central: 622- 5774. Eastside: 327-0701. Northwest: 293-8336.

* Center for Adolescent Parents.
Geared to high-school dropouts, offers free classes on GED training and job preparation, plus counseling for parents ages 16 to 19 and free on-site child care, bus passes or gas allowances, also a young fathers program. 881-8940.

* Child Support Services of the Pima County Attorney's Office.
Assists in establishing paternity of children and collecting support payments from parents both in and out of state. 622-7000.

* Comprehensive Assistance for Mothers and Infants.
Offered through CODAC Behavioral Health Services, the bilingual program offers outpatient services such as parenting classes. Free to those who qualify. 327-4505.

* Flowing Wells Unified School District.
Has a day-care program for infants, which young parents can use for a fee, often while they attend classes in child care. 690-2269, 690-2287.

* Healthy Families.
Home visitation program that provides support to families of newborns. A voluntary program, it relies mainly on hospital referrals and helps reduce stress, promote child development and reduce abuse and neglect. Open to all ages. Also can connect parents to community resources. Tucson: 881- 8940. Nogales: 281-9303.

* Las Amigas.
Offers residential drug-abuse treatment for pregnant women or new mothers age 18 or older. Also provides counseling and parenting classes. Sliding-scale fees. 327-4505.

* Reachout Pregnancy Center.
An Pregnancy Counseling Agency that provides free pregnancy tests, free maternity and baby clothes, post-abortion healing and support groups, among other services. Open to all ages. 321-4300.

* St. Elizabeth of Hungary Out-Patient Clinic.
Offers services ranging from prenatal and pediatric care to dental and ophthalmology services. More than 200 dentists and physicians volunteer at the clinic. Sliding-scale fees. 628-7871

* The Stork's Nest Center.
A temporary shelter for homeless, pregnant teens and young adults. Girls learn about child care and parenting skills and having a healthy baby. Contact director Anna Cheshier at 884-7363.

* The Teen-age Mother Mentor Program.
Offered through Jewish Family & Children's Services, the non-denominational program operates at Rincon and Catalina high schools. It offers group and individual therapy with professional counselors, career counseling and the opportunity to be paired with a mentor who is a mother and a professional in the community. * Teen-age Parent Program.
Provides day care, prenatal health care and classes on parenting. Tucson Unified School District: 617-6041. Marana Unified School District: 682-9154. Sunnyside Unified School District: 741-2400, ext.432.

* Tucson Association for Child Care Inc.
Serves as a clearinghouse for child care resources, runs the Center for Adolescent Parents as well as a number of other programs, including a child care resource and referral service that - free of charge - helps parents find child care. 881-8940.

* Tucson Birthing Project.
Outreach program for pregnant African-American women and teens. Provides mentors, referrals, education and advocacy. 882- 2051.

* Woman to Woman Inc.
Outreach program that helps pregnant women of all ages by providing support, education, advocacy. 327-6144.
